Ongoing Initiatives

Among the initiatives in progress in the Strategy, Competence and People Management Research Group are:

• Cooperation with PROGEP (People Management Study Program), from FIA / FEA / USP, in the research on people management practices in the best companies to work for in Brazil. In this front, students and researchers from PMDA-UP have accessed and investigated a database, which is the most complete people management practices database in the country, with annual surveys conducted since 2008. Currently, it has more than 1,000 participant companies, with answers from about 1 million employees. The database includes companies from different sizes, both public and private. This research resulted two PhD thesis, two sandwich PhD, as well as published articles and others submitted to conferences and journals, in Brazil and abroad.

• Collaboration with the Institute Superieur du Gestion - ISG, France. Under this partnership, especially involving Prof. Amir Rezaee and Rosana Reis, two PhD students did their sandwich doctorate in Paris. Additionally, there have been some teacher exchanges, when a Brazilian teacher was in France and a French teacher came to Brazil for three months. During this exchange, teachers conducted researches, wrote articles, gave courses, conducted seminars and guided PhD and Master’s students.
